Privacy policy

Updated

This policy covers the lumelabdigital.com website and the apps Lume Lab provides to its clients: the teleprompter (teleprompter.lumelabdigital.com) and the content plan app (roteiro.lumelabdigital.com).

Lume Lab is run by Breno Pereira in Recife, Pernambuco, Brazil. He is the controller of the data described here and the person responsible for data protection. For anything related to this policy, write to contato@lumelabdigital.com.

Website

The contact form asks for your name, email, phone number, Instagram profile and, if you wish, a message. This data is used only to reply to your request. It reaches the Lume Lab inbox by email, and you receive a confirmation at the address you provided.

The website stores a single cookie with the language you chose, so it opens in the same language next time. There are no advertising cookies and no tracking or visitor analytics tools.

Like any website, the hosting provider logs technical data about each visit, such as IP address and browser, in order to run and to protect itself from abuse.

Teleprompter

The server keeps your username, your password in scrambled form (no one, including Lume Lab, can read it) and the date you last used the app. A cookie keeps you signed in for up to 15 days.

The scripts you write and the videos you record stay on your device only. They are not sent to Lume Lab or to any server, unless you choose to share the file yourself.

Content plan app

The server keeps your username, your password in scrambled form, the content plans Lume Lab prepares for you, and what you record in the app: days posted, approvals and comments.

When you send a video through the app, it goes straight from your device to a folder in Lume Lab's own Google Drive, set aside for your plan, so it can be edited. The app does not access your Google account, and you do not need one.

Lume Lab edits the video in a video editing program. When needed, the audio is transcribed automatically by the program itself, only to create the video's captions. The edited video comes back to you for approval, and nothing is posted on your accounts without your approval.

Use of Google data

The content plan app uses the Google Drive API only to create folders and save the videos clients send into Lume Lab's own Google Drive. It requests the narrowest permission Google offers: the app can only see the files and folders it created itself, and nothing else in the Drive.

The app's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. This data is not sold, not used for advertising and not used to train artificial intelligence models.

Who the data is shared with

Lume Lab does not sell or rent personal data. To work, the website and apps rely on providers that process data on Lume Lab's behalf, only for the purposes described here:

  • Hosting for the website and the apps.
  • Database for the apps (users, sessions, plans and content plan app records).
  • Google, to store uploaded videos and to receive contact requests by email.
  • Delivery of the contact form emails.
  • Video editing program: video editing and, when needed, automatic transcription of the audio to create captions.

International transfers

These providers may store data on servers outside Brazil, including in the United States. All of them apply industry-recognized security measures, and the transfer happens in order to provide the service you hired or requested.

How long data is kept

  • Contact form requests: for as long as needed to reply and follow up, and deleted whenever you ask.
  • App access: while you are an active client. When the service ends, access is closed.
  • Plans, records and videos: kept during the contract and deleted within 30 days after it ends, unless the law requires keeping them longer.
  • Copies: until that deadline, you may ask for a copy of the plan material for the contracted period, that is, up to the last posting day covered by the contract.

Security

Access to the apps requires a username and password, with a limit on attempts and sessions that expire. Passwords are stored scrambled, connections are always encrypted (HTTPS), and each client sees only their own content.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, for example under Brazil's LGPD or California's privacy laws, you may ask at any time to know whether we hold your data, to access it, correct it, delete it, receive a copy, learn who it was shared with, or withdraw a consent you gave. Write to contato@lumelabdigital.com and you will get a reply within 15 days.

You may also complain to the data protection authority where you live. In Brazil, that is the ANPD.

Minors

The website and apps are made for adult professionals and are not intended for anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

When something changes in how data is handled, this page changes with it and the date at the top is updated. If a change affects active clients, they are told directly.
